However, Nintendo's reasoning for now allowing USB charging was due to the USB not providing enough power to actually charge the Gamepad while using it. It will likely only keep it powered. Idk, I find it very easy to just put the charging cradle (and thus AC plug) near my couch. When I'm done playing, I put it on the cradle. If I need to charge while playing, I pull it out of the cradle and plug directly into Gamepad and continue playing. Very easy and no worries.
