It's hard, I actually switched to easy mode mid way cause I don't want to spend 2 hours on bosses and I can go back and do the skull challenges again when I feel like torturing myself playing the game again later down the line.
Some boss fights are bull shit since you can't avoid some moves, you are just destined to get hit, so the normal jp bull shit.
Ayane's charge attack is powerful but the recovery sucks so you can't chain it like you can with some of Ryu's.
Gameplay is fine, you don't have that whole "I don't wanna die, I don't wanna die!" anymore and you get an arena type experience instead which is really good. Experience is a lot better than the PS360 versions because the action is crazier in general and a lot more blood and body parts flying around, omg so much blood and body parts muwahahahaha!
Reviewers say they forgot AA for this game, but TBH, it's a jagged mess either way on other consoles, then again, I'm too used to my PC lol.....
I prefer Japanese VO as usual, not that the English one is bad, just kinda weird seeing the whole Japanese bubbling head speech style in English since well, we don't do that shit.
Story sucks just like most video games so move along~~~~
Lunar Staff and Kusari-Gama maxed to level 3 makes the game a lot easier though, you just kinda swap between the 2 and you are gold, the other weapons are good too but not as ridiculous. You can literally like chain somebody from 20 feet away and then chop a leg off then execute the bitch with the Kusari-Gama which makes those bitch casters a lot easier since they block 98% of your attacks.

Very nice insight. From the stuff they supposedly added in the Wii U version I always had the impression the PS360 version was very bare bones (no multiple weapons, no collectibles, no leveling up (?), no optional bosses) and replay value must have gone through the roof now compared to PS360. Is this assessment correct or not? Did you play co-op already? What is this mode exactly? A seperate campaign, isolated levels or arena type? Also, how is the Gamepad integration?

No CO-OP yet, I've been playing Planetside 2 a lot so I just play Ninja Gaiden when I'm not doing that lol, will get into it eventually but I have a backlog of PS3 and 3DS games to play as well so hopefully I'll get some sessions in when I can find the time to test it out, might not even bother until they have Momiji added in though, we'll see since snowboarding season is also here so games will not be my top priority heh.
Gamepad is not needed unless you wanna have some boob jiggling fun, you can play the whole thing without it and it really adds nothing, you won't have time to read the combo list, and it's faster to cast nippo and change weapons old style though I change weapons on the touch screen for funzies, pro controller is not really better though, peolpe are just not used to the gamepad yet, it's not like the buttons don't do the same things.
