Lost RPG Franchises: Where Are They Now?

I wouldn't call Xenosaga lost so much as complete. The creator and development team are still around and fully operational - their last game was Xenoblade, which came out last year. Right now it is assumed they are working on an RPG for the Wii U. It will be interesting to see what they come up with, HOPEFULLY it is in the same universe as Xenosaga and Xenogears, and have a similar type of story.

Yep, and Namco owns Xenosaga, but the mind and the dev team behind the universe which spans both series are intact and work for Nintendo. Nintendo could very easily work with one or both Square and Namco and create a new game in the series, officially, or they could work on their own and make a game in the series unofficially. It could be Xeno-anything. I would personally love to see that story developed and continued, and perhaps have Gameplay which more resembles Xenoblade.
