Wales, and several other people in this thread: this is a nice trick, but it's treading thin ice. It is, essentially, an "I don't like Wii Fit, and think it's pretty dumb, but no Wii owners allowed here! No one can respond unless they agree with me!" thread.

New rule that I have just made up: you cannot tell other people or groups not to respond to you. You can choose not to talk to them, or anything else you like, but a "No PS3/Wii/Girls allowed" thread isn't constructive. If you don't like something feel free to say so, but you shouldn't tell others that they cannot respond to your posts.

>No one can respond unless they agree with me!" thread.

agree with me? I simply as for people who OWN PS360 to respond, Unless you are implying everyone who owns PS360 has a same opinion as me? If that's the case, why would I even ask in the first place?

If you read this thread, there are people who like it, there are people who dislike it, and there are people who would buy a Wii just for Wiifit. and Yes, all of those are part of "I don't have a Wii" crowd, NOT the "I have to agree with KingofWale" crowd. Hope that's clear.

And secondly, Since I have no rule to actually ban anybody from my thread, it's hardly a typical forum 'rule'. I simply asked nicely for those who own a Wii to not respond. Some still did, and I accept the survey of those with 'thanks' as long as they give a reasonable explanation of their attitude toward the subject.

I can politely ask fat people why they're so ugly, but the fact that I "ask nicely" doesn't change the fact that the message itself isn't nice. You told people to go away. That isn't nice no matter how politely you ask.

While you are technically correct that you didn't explicitly insist that everyone agree with you in this thread, the original post was clearly constructed as such; you said you didn't like Wii Fit, then said that everyone who owns a Wii can't respond. While a few people may (and do) like Wii Fit even if they don't own a Wii, the obvious effect of the construction you've made here was to eliminate most or all of the people who disagree with your position. It would be like starting a pro-life thread, explaining why pro-choice people are evil and wrong, and then saying liberals can't respond; there will be a few conservative pro-choicers, but clearly the purpose of such a thread would be to fuel anti-abortion sentiment.

Again, don't tell others whether they can or cannot respond to your opinions. You're welcome to simply ignore people -- I do that with several crazies that I shan't name (if you look through my post history, you'll see I've basically never responded to a few of the most active posters here, and that isn't a coincidence).
