[updated]Games lag,freeze,drops fps, slow to load on Super slim ps3

I was reading a thread about this from October. Some say it has to do with poor quality HDD but others say it is related to the 4.30 update and that the 4.31 update fixed many of the problems. I'm not sure what to say myself, even though I just bought a new PS3 I haven't used it enough to notice any issues.
