Did this last night. I was going to play Halo 4 but my GF made dinner. While I was eating, my kid jumps on my 360 and plays Castle Crasher and Feeding Frenzy (WTF?). I just fire up the Wii U and play Call of Duty for an hour or so. No problems.
We already have a second 360 in the living room but the Wii U pad makes for a nice third option. Much of the time, from my experience, you don't even need a TV.
