What a dumb comparison article lol.
BTW, Gold is required if you want to actually play online, it's not like people have a choice if they want to play games online to start with, while PS+ is completely optional. Not to mention PS3 has no cross game chat because it's RAM architecture is a complete fail, not because Sony can't offer the service since they have it on the Vita.
