Fact is the Wii U's CPU is slower than the competition which means that they would need to spend extra money to port the game over. Then add the expected sales for this already relatively small IP for a recently released console (whose previous installment showed low interest for mature games) and you will realize that porting the game would be a near idiotic move.

The only scenario where spending extra money on porting the game over to the Wii U would make sense would be if they expected future profit for being loyal to the system's install base,  thus increasing sales for future installments. The truth is though that the future is very cloudy, and that current trends indicates that ignoring a Wii U port will result in the most profitable situation for the company.

The fact is they would have to get a team to understand the system like ps3.

the CPU is costing them it's the hardware because many companies are already saying if you get around with other things in system it become painless to work with.

...and the reason they need to, "get around with other things in the system" in the first place is because of a relatively weak CPU.

...old engines based in cpu speed... the new way is OOE.
