I know that Kid Icarus was on consoles...25 years ago. But Uprising is so different that I consider it to be a new IP. So I'll say Kid Icarus:Uprising.

Nope, doesn't count. The Vita games are not given that level of benefit of the doubt, so my tally doesn't extend that courtesy to 3DS. Basically what this thread proved to me and hopefully a few more of you that 3DS does not have some mysterious line up of unique brand new IPs that are liked by all and sell well. It has its 1st party and a few 3rd party console ports and exclusives that are popular, thats it. They don't do anything super special other than being a good game but they are still portable versions of console games, and once you take that away the list of great material becomes stagnant.

This is what countless 3DS gamers/Vita haters say about Vita, "Take away the console ports and there is nothing there", which I just proved to be true for the 3DS as well. God knows, at least I didn't eliminate Downloadable titles which some Vita haters dismiss as "real games" as well) too otherwise no one would of had a game to show except Pilot Wings Resort.

The difference is that in the case of the vita is that it has console games that are ''washed out''. Most if not all of their games that have console counterparts are from this gen. Worst is that some of them launch at the same day. Why should I spend my money on october 30th on Liberation when I can get AC3 instead? Same goes for CoD.

UC:GA is a fraction of the experience you get from UC2 on PS3. Same goes for Resistance. In the case of KI, unlike Vita's console IP that are super recent and that we've all played on this gen home console, KI was not present on this gen's home console. It is 25 years old and ALOT of gamers have never played it, meanwhile I played UC3 last year. Also, when UC:GA is a fraction of it's console counterpart, KI is a thousand time better than it's console counterpart.

I know these are no longer Sony brands but if we (hypotheticaly) could have a new Crash or Spyro, franchises that we have'nt seen in years, and if these games were bigger/better/prettier than what they were on the ps1 than it would be a completly other story and it would get my attention.

Also the 3DS is not trying to make console games. I don't expect nor want a metroid fps like metroid prime cause that would be just a subpar experience of what I had on console, but I'm expecting a 2D Metroid, that would be unique since were not having any of these on consoles. Not everything work on handheld, Mario works, Uncharted and CoD does not. LBP also works, but assassin creed does not. Why? Because a Mario or LBP on handheld does not mean that it's ''inferior'' to it's console counterparts. Uncharted and Assassin Creed are clearly inferior to it's console counterparts.
