You'll have to recreate your account and readd your friends, but I'm sure they'll let you keep the games you bought and paid for. 

This is why this is only a temporary issue.  Nintendo will have a fix for this shortly.

of course they will add that in the future. Hopefully this will be an easy system like the ms one or sony one or even better.

A system update is all it'll take.  Just like the one that let you boot games from memory cards on the Wii in the "clean out your fridge" days.

Which took them over 2 years to implement.

Not that i'm too bothered about this. Customer service will transfer things over in the event of a breakdown, no doubt.

@PullusPardus: If you bought your console out-region, you could possibly get someone in the correct region to place the call for you.
