Really?   You're going to use a 2D Mario as the basis of comparison for graphics capabilities?

Yes, because if a 2D Mario game, a game which isn't pushing the systems power (since is just a sequel to the Wii game) is forced to run in 720p it should be no surprise if games like CoD, Batman or ME3 have framerate issues and cut corners on some things.
