People are trying to ready too much into this. It is not that different than what was said for the Wii.

Because when my Wii died, I had to send it to Nintendo, which fixed it for $75 (plus $5 shipping). And almost everything was transferred over (I lost about three saves files because I had a memory failing issue and I had to reload my bought content).

So I doubt Nintendo will cause everything to be lost.

Ironically, this costs Nintendo sales because people repair rather than buy new.

PS -- For most purchasers, this is not a big deal.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
