That's simply not the system Nintendo designed or even wanted to make here.

They said it themselves that the gap between the next Playstation/Xbox consoles wouldn't be much more than the Wii U.  I guess it was sort of implied.  Plus Miyamoto is old as fuck, now.  We don't pay attention to him anymore.
