I think people are asking for an explanation because sony didnt realy bring anything new this generation besides bluray which hasnt really done anything for gaming.  The most obvious choices here would be 360 and the wii which the wii.  This is just showing how bias people are on this site.  Some people are just trolling the OP but most are just picking there fav console.

One could argue that Sony was a highly influential party in pioneering cinematic experiences to gaming. It seems that most modern HD games have an increased focus on cinematic experiences, compared to last generation and even the beginning of this generation.
