Between the drive being 6 years newer than the PS3's Blu-Ray drive and the modifications Nintendo (likely) made to it, I would expect lower seek times, latency and much higher bandwidth off of the disc; which would be seen in reduced load times.

When you combine this faster drive with more memory, it is plausable that another (potential) advantage would be to produce larger more seamless worlds; after all you would be able to stream objects into memory earlier (because you have more memory), and it would take less time to stream them (because you have a faster disc), so there is almost no reason why you would need to have "seams" in your world to allow loading.
