This means nothing until the full architecture is revealed.

It is all about the GPGPU and the embedded RAM.

For example:
According to Tom's Hardware the thing to bear in mind when building a budget gaming PC.
A dual core 3.2Ghz CPU with slow RAM and decent graphics card with fast memory is superior to a six-core 3.2Ghz with fast memory but shitty graphics card.

All said and done the wii u is a budget console when you think of what you are getting for the money.

or nintendo could have just choked a decent gpu with poor ram bandwith ... but im with you and the wait and see... could ahve sworn i read the edram would be used for feeding the gpu.. but i cant seem to find what i read now

This is the most important factor for those interested in the graphics capabilities. The eDRAM. If any, how fast and how much.

As for the bandwidth it is not stated if it is dual-chanel (34GB/s) or otherwise. Considering the cheapest PCs offfer dual-channel I would be surprised if it wasn't... but you never know.
