My 45 - Street fighter EX plus Alpha - Playstation 1
Street fighters first (afaik) flurry into 3d on the playstation one. Made by arika tho along with capcom so unfortunately the characters created for this game by Arika were lost from street fighter after they went seperate ways, this is a shame considering that D.Dark and Garuda are 2 incredibly well put together characters for street fighter, ,D.Dark even able to lay mines in the ground then whip his enemies into them with a scorpion style rope attack. While the polygons again seen here are at a countable lvl the game moves so smoothly when you get into fighting it is easy to over look the basic character models when it's game engine is absolutely great.
btw dieappledie I can finish your number 48 in a single credit in the arcades :D it appears further up my list.
my 44 is a game that was a nintendo new IP on the gamecube and based on the ongoings in Miyamotas backgarden.... in his head.
