It never made sense to me that Nintendo was able to give up on a significant portion of the gaming market without a fight. It felt kind of arrogant, to be honest, like they thought more mature titles were a fad that would quickly fade away. Except they're not.
They're successful at what they do, though, so I guess they don't have to diversify. Still, it's kind of a shame. Perhaps they have different plans with the Wii U.
