Yes, but the articles on Penny Arcade and whatnot said that Chris Roberts promises so much on so many areas where he and his studio lacks the expertise and experience, and that this game is pretty much the most ambitious game project presented of all time (they compared to Molyneux' failed promises) and that even an experienced sudio with a far bigger budget than $14 million would not be able to deliver on all the promises. They basically painted him as delirious. Although in a loving way, they all obviously wants him to succeed. I think everyone does. I'm definitely gonna support this game if it's good (meaning that for once I'm not gonna pirate a PC game). I'm very hyped about this, Elite and Sui Generis. (Especially Sui Generis! Just wow.) |
I doubt they will live up to all the promises to be honest. But even if they don't reach the moon it will be a hell of a journey. What they have already is pretty impressive, the detail in the stuff they have designed an built is already insane. It kinda helps that it is a space game tho, basically enviroments outside of the ships are just skyboxes there is a lot less level design and assets they have to build compaired to other genres. And making it PC exclusive they can cut a lot of costs ascociated with AAA multiplatform development.
