wow, gone are the days when you bought a console and it worked for life. No need for software updates or anything, and certainly no RROD issues.

If I was to chose one, I would say Nintendo is being lazy in not including the VC feature for the GP. Because I don't think getting that done is rocket science.

Lazy.   I'll never get why gamers like to use this word when referring to something not implemented and they don't understand why.

It's like the fall back line for everything.

I think for some when they see a feature not being ready out the box, although the feature has been on another console for years...they kinda come to that conclusion not saying they are right.

I honestly don't see this as a big deal.  I mean, it could be argued that the Wii was a Gamecube with some added features.  It had flawless BC but that's kind of rare outside of a portable console.  My 360 NEVER got 100% backwards compatibility.  The PS3 lost backwards compatibility and still never got it back.  Even my Vita has PS1 and PSP games that I own and am still waiting for the ability to play.  The Wii U will have BC and we're pissed that we can't use it on the controller?  Instead of being grateful we have the ability at all to play our Wii games and use our Wii accessories (PS2 controllers and Xbox 1 controllers didn't work on the current gen consoles), we're pissed that we don't get additional functionality.

Such is the gamer and their sense of entitlement.

(and I see that you are saying "for some" and not yourself.  I'm not coming at you in particular.)

um...no one is talking about BC, this is simply about VC. it seems people are pissed that 1 their wont be any VC day one, which imho is a reason to be worried. I said as much about Vita as well and two you cant play those games on the WIi U pad which is something people were kinda expecting. the 2nd point is a little iffy, because i dont recall Ninty ever saying it would have that feature but on the other hand, why wouldnt it when Sony did it years ago with remote play.  Personally i dont care because Wii VC turned to crap anyway, so if Ninty needs more time to ensure that doesnt happen again, then take it.

That's what happens when I take a nap and then return to a thread.  I lose focus.  But even if there is no VC on day one, we can port our current VC to the Wii U, right?  I've got quite a few titles and I think I read somewhere that our data will be transferred but both consoles have to be online at once.

Remote play only worked with PS1 games and it was laggy as heck on the PSP--even when you were in the same room with the console.  Even the Vita doesn't do it properly but there is noticeably less lag.

I have no idea, but i kinda doubt you can transfer at this point, it seems to be an issue with emulation across the board. But i could be wrong, i hope i am.

Never really had an issue with remote play, but i never used it that much to be honest.
