That brings me to this point: this 7th generation is the first where most of the games I enjoy are from Western devs, in past generations my library of games was made up of 90% of titles from Japanese devs, and the 10% left was Western, this time it´s almost the other way around. Bethesda (despite the bugs) with the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series, Bioware with the Mass Effect series (despite the ending debacle), Naughty Dog with Uncharted, Epic with Gears of War, Halo, Dead Space, Bioshock, Batman Arkham games, etc..are all games I´ve come to really like this gen. |
Ditto, and that goes for alot of people too. The funny thing is that the home video game industry has now come full circle... it started off in the West as college eggheads and computer engineers gave birth to what would eventually become modern video games. Then after the big crash the videogame industry became dominated by Japanese companies who, with the exception of some failed attempts by Atari and Phillips, were the exclusive manufacturers of video game consoles until the Xbox hit in 2001. Now the West is leading the charge in game development on consoles once again.
Of course, this only applies to home consoles... PC's have been dominated by western developers since day 1 and continue to do so.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
