PSP didn't mimic the ps2 though.. most of those ports weren't even close to being on par with anything on the PS2.. the only things that come close were GTA..

Vita.. is actually capable of running things on par with ps3.. with slightly downgraded visuals.. for example..

PS ALL STARS BATTLE ROYALE is the same exact game on the ps3.. same exact online interface.. and you can cross play between vita and ps3 players..

You never had that on the PSP..

That's the part people don't seem to understand about Vita. The PSP was forced to recieve watered down PS3 ports due to its hardware. The Vita however is capable of running games as good as PS3 and even better. Its limitations are sloppy developers.

To expand on that: PSASBR even runs on Vita at 60 fps just like on PS3. From betas and demos it is obvious the Vita version is a 1 to 1 port for the end user. (textures are less detailed but that is only visible when blowing the vita screen up)

Nobody has said anything about the hardware of the Vita as it is really good.  Still a bad game is a bad game regardless of how good it looks.  The vita has no mass appeal because it has no franchise that can raise this thing off of the ground.  Sadly this is the path that sony is going in.  Out of all the franchises they own, they dont have 1 franchise that can sell a console a lone.  This is why in a few years when it has a number of exclusives that it may have appeal.  That or hope for a good third party franchise or the possibility of some new ip that can sell it.  Right now it will be relying on CoD so let's see how that goes.

No shit sherlock. That's how all systems work. At launch the hardcore crowd buys a system and then down the road casuals pick it up as value is added.

You don't get it.  They are both focused on console like games.  Is that a better way of saying it?  Go ahead and defend it but it was a bad strategy then and it's still a bad strategy now but even worst.

Oh and the Sony All Stars, sorry to burst your bubble but I called this a long time ago and I still stand behind it.  The game is going to flop.  It may sell above 1 million but the reviews will be lack luster.  For the vita the thing will bomb both sale wise and score.

Once again the majority of the people could care less about the cross play feature as most dont even know about it.  And once again the console PS3 version will out do the Vita version.

So the fact both the Vita and PSP deliver similar experiences to consoles is bad? No. When it works it works great as in the case of LBP Vita and Gravity Rush. These are "console like games."

As for PSASBR, are you really that ignorant? Sorry to burst your bubble but your opinion doesn't burst mine. Do you have this strange misconception that All Stars is a bad game and are you even qualified to be judging it in such an arrogant manor? Based off your last two sentences I'm predicting the answers to be "yes," "yes," and "no."
