My point being that if hackers (who are backfiguring everything) can add those kinds of features that nintendo neglected to on the old hardware, the only reason Nintendo didn't add the desired WiiU features is because they didn't want to.

Hackers will always try to hack, but leaving out no brainer features like wii software on the handheld screen just pushes them even harder.

Right.  They didn't want to.  Like how they don't have plans for a Wii U VC at all, right?

I mean I'll just take your word for it and believe Nintendo didn't want to add GamePad functionality for Virtual Console games.  You know, despite Iwata saying they wanted to do that but couldn't (because of the sandbox system) and that they have a Wii U VC already in the works which wouldn't be limited to the Wii's sandbox system.

Look at what you just said regarding the Wii itself.  They still having figured out how to get Wii remotes to work on GC games yet and it's been out for 6 years.   Do you honestly believe that with a vastly increased security system that they'll enable GamePad usage before Nintendo initiates their Wii U VC?

Its not just the VC titles, but anything that runs in Wii mode, wii software included.  And yes, I'm saying that the only reason Nintendo didn't do is because they didn't want to.  It has absolutely nothing to do with hardware.  The hardware is more than capable.  Nintendo just didn't want to take the time to make it work, for one reason or another.

And you'll probably be re-buying all those VC titles on the WiiU VC.  It would be nice if they just upgraded you for free, but the cynic in me doesn't see this happening.
