I seriously do not know how the fuck a person can miss a 16" oval toilet bowl whilst peeing.  I don't have a 12" flaccid penis, so there isn't a huge amount of cock to work with whilst aiming, yet I manage, quite well, to hit the target.  I also somehow fail to miss the seat and outside of the bowl when I shit, yet it seems this minor task is impossible for some people to manage. 

If you are tall, it is easier to miss! Some 6'0 or 180cm midget has a shorter distance to his target than a taller man!
