my thoughts: i cannot use it.

i moved to berlin and have no real internet yet, just my mobile phone contract (since that's is over it's limit, i ust have 56 KN/s left) and i use tethering to get into psn on my playstation etc.

it took me one hour to download the 26 MB for the store (firmware update through usb stick, i have internet at work).

now i wanted to get into the store to add the current ps+ downloads to my dl list, so that i can download them once i have internet.. but... the store won't come up. i've waited for two hours now but it just won't open! heck, i am annoyed because i don't know when i will have GPRS speed again, and i need to add the ps+ to my download list before they're getting replaced.

You already know what the problem is...

yeah, i know the problem: my really slow internet. but the cause is: bad programming.

i ask myself: when i'm able to download 26 megabytes in 1 hour, what is the store downloading in two hours of loading time? right, it's NOT 52 megabytes because that would mean it loads all the pictures and stuff (and if so... fail). no, it is clearly an error.

yes i am annoyed and no it is not a big deal, but well... let me be pissed ;)

The new store is an HTML5 based streaming app. Similar to the original PS store, which they made an internal app later down the road for speed. Now the store relies more on internet connection than it did before and you're issue could be a timing out that isn't registering to boot you. Or it really is just taking a very long time to load, which isn't comforting to how it would operate once in store. The new store is a fluid set of links, streaming content instantly like videos and pictures, practically bufferless. For me it is a much better experience. I just hope you retain decent internet connection so you won't have to suffer these issues.

There is a chance through updating that the new store better deals with slower connection issues and initialization speeds, but I wouldn't rely on a slow connection to work well even after streamlining.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
