Why did Sony go with Super Smash Bros. too instead of Super Mario Bros. too?

That makes sense, but I think the point Pezus was originally trying to make was that LBP isn't a copy/clone of Mario in the same way PABR is a copy/clone of Smash Bros. LBP definitely has similarities with Mario, but less than what PABR has with Smash Bros.

I suppose that I can agree this if that was his point.  I have not played PSABR, so I cannot tell you definitively if it's a clone or not but I have a strong feeling that it just might be from what I've seen...
