Tales of Xillia 2 Sold Through 78% Of Its Stock

Tales of Xillia 2 was released in Japan on November 1st and sold 364,439 copies in its first week on store shelves. Japanese sales tracking firm, Media Create, report that it sold through 78.09% of its initial shipment.

For the sake of comparison, the first Tales of Xillia game, released in 2011, sold 525,605 copies in its first week with a sell-through of 87.12%.

By March 31st, 2013, Namco Bandai hope to sell 650,000 copies of Tales of Xillia 2.

Meanwhile, Okami HD, also on the PlayStation 3, sold 68,644 copies with a sell-through of 73.35%. Okami HD actually sold a little more than Okami did on the PlayStation 2. The PS2 version of the game sold 60,161 copies in its first week.

I'm guessing people arent hyped up about the sequel because of fear it would turn out like the sequel of Tales of Symphonia?

Tales of Destiny 2 didnt do so bad. Never released outside Japan though.
