Just because you support the legalization of something doesn't mean you are going to do or use it. 

It would not effect me directly if Beer was illegal.  I wouldn't care if I never drank it again.  History has shown how terrible it was during alcohol prohibition in the USA.  Organized crime got big, drinking went up, and many people were killed.  Not a good thing.

You can support the legalization of something without ever wanting to use it.

Most of the people that voted to legalize same sex marriage in the 3 state that just passed it are strait.

 

I absolutely agree with you. I'm just saying that if people want to smoke marijuana they will still do regardless of the law. It's so easy to come by. 

I am also 100% for same sex marriage even though I will never partake in the act.
