SamuelRSmith, I don't get it. How can you as an ultra-liberal not be in favor of legalizing marijuhanna?
I see this as a first step. Yes, the prison-legal system is an industrial hegemony that will fight for its survival and try to invent new markets (petty crimes) to justify its existence, but as a society and democracy we still have to make the right choices, the most sane choices. And the war on drugs is extremely insane and unethical.
