MS didn't buy Rare for their IPs. Rare didn't own the rights to most of their biggest games. Microsoft bought them for their talent.

RARE owns Killer Instinct, Banjo Kazooie, Perfect Dark, Conker, and others IPs, I dont remember. M$ could have a great hit if they allow KI3 to made, but not happening, because they want to do KINECT stuff FUCK YEAH! LMAO

Rare has to do Kinect stuff because they've made nothing but flops since being bought by MS. Chased by the Ghoulies, Conkers, Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero, Viva Pinata, Nuts and Bolts, one weak seller after another. MS lost hundreds of millions of dollars on Rare, kinect sports was the first time they were actually successful since the buyout. Not to mention that most of their games like Perfect Dark Zero and BK Nuts and Bolts have been terrible.

OT: I think Sony buying out THQ would be a pretty smart move. Having Saints Row 4 exclusive to the PS4 would do a lot to get relevance in the western market.

If Sony buys THQ, I wonder if they would still allow relic to make PC games.....maybe multiplat? It would be really weird to play Company of Heroes on a PlayStation :D.   But yeah I think it would be an smart move, because they are really cheap and have great IPs :)

I would say the factor that will decide if THQ dies or not, will be Homefront 2, if that games flops, then they are screwed.  For now it looks like there can be some light at the end of the tunnel.
