I did a bit through emulators and by modding an original Xbox. At the time though, how was I suppose to access those older games from dead systems. Buying used doesn't really add anything to the industry so late in the game. This gen, especially with PS3, older titles are far more available. Digital markets have really changed that. I barely acquired any current at the time games and felt bad if I did. The majority of those games were copied from the HDD of the guy who helped me mod, the rest I bought, though there was one time I rented some Xbox games to rip them to my HDD but it was only a few and I don't think I played them all anyway. The Xbox turned into a NES, SNES, Genesis, and 64 emulator. As well as letting me digitally store movies and play dvds without having to buy that Xbox remote (seriously wtf).
Today though I work, I still have debt but I'm not a student anymore. My money doesn't go straight to tuition. I game more now than I have ever before and pump quite a few dollars into the system.
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
