MKWii is currently selling for over $50! Injustice!! GT5 is the best racing game ever made and yet people let Nintendo get away with charging a premium on its casual Mario Kart Wii. Why are you not outraged as a gamer? |
Sort of simple why Mario Kart is still at $50. There's still demand. Just because you sold a lot of the copy, doesn't mean you should lose money when customers are still willing to pay for it.
Plus, Mario Kart Wii is not just a casual game. There online is the best on this game and it can get really competitive. Try being ranked 8000+ and try getting first place. There's strategies in the game to implement.
Like if you rather let everyone go ahead of you and get a good item. Even if you're last place you can catch up to 4th place, once you activate a star, or a boost, or a thunder, you can take first place for a full lap lead. It's hard, but it's possible. So much of the other racers with bombard or sabatoge one another that you can out lap them. But it's rare.
Or, you can either take first place, snake and boost your way to the finish. Boosting can make all the difference in that game. You mario kart players know what I mean.
