Well I was playing along with your point, I even counted percentages when the actual sales numbers looked way too high.

There. You asked me a question, which clearly called for comparison.

As we both agreed, CoD brand has grown. This has to be accounted for in comparison, naturally. You wanted to compare 360 version to previous gen market leader, which I did after better (third to third) comparison. I did not even call out your 2 year (http://www.vgchartz.com/game/7316/call-of-duty-4-modern-warfare/) bs. You are still not happy. Well too bad, the comparison is valid no matter if you don't happen to like it.

My first post simply says you're being unrealistic to think WiiU (being the better version) would outsell PS360 individually and I asked to compare that to 360's first year where it was best version and didn't outsell others either.

2005 (~6m total)
http://www.vgchartz.com/gamedb/?name=call+of+duty+2&publisher=&platform=&genre=&minSales=0&results=200
PS2: 2.67m (120m userbase but limited online)
360: 1.80m (3m userbase with Live online)
XB: 1.12m (24m userbase but limited online)
GC: 0.33m (22m userbase but no online)

Here it sold well even though the last gen game was more of an spin-off of the main COD PC/360 game.

2006 (~7m total - current gen not supported beyond PS2/Xbox and by now multiplayer was in full swing on Live/PSN)
http://www.vgchartz.com/gamedb/?name=call+of+duty+3&publisher=&platform=&genre=&minSales=0&results=200
360: 2.6m (7m userbase with online)
Wii: 2.2m (4m userbase, basically PS2 version)
PS3: 1.4m (3m userbase with online)
PS2: 1m (130m userbase but limited online)

After this is were COD started to explode due to console having a more PC like online gameplay. So yes, It only took the 2nd year for X360 to by pass last gen. However, it also have significant improvements due to online features that simply didnt' exist on previous gen.

WiiU won't have that difference. The game is superior in minor way with the same overall gameplay. 360 not only had better visuals but also an entirely different and far more enhanced online play.

Its kinda like comparing the quick adoption of DVD over VHS vs the slower adoption of Bluray over DVD. While both are improvments in their own rights, the differences DVD gave over VHS were vastly more noticeable than that of Bluray over DVD.

If WiiU can get 1.5 to 2m (it should) then I think there is argument to be made that its a normal transition of all apsects of gamers.

Yes, you did. As you wished, I compared 360 first year CoD to PS2 CoD from the same year. As they are similar multiplatforms, comparison is valid. I even accounted for CoD growth by calculating the percentages and compared to previous gen market leader instead of third place, yet you are still unhappy.
