If by special effects, you mean effects, then yes. There wasn't anything too special about it to me.

Episode 1 was pretty cool with the CG, Episode 2 overused it, and Episode 3 ended up looking like a freaking videogame.

Lucas overused it...the original Star Wars models seemed to have more realism and sharpness...it baffles me how plastic models could beat CGI, but Lucas proved himself capable.

I miss the days of Jurassic Park, classic Star Wars, and Indiana Jones. With perhaps some more CGI to touch things up, kinda like the special editions of Star Wars (but without the unnecessary CGI creatures in Mos Eisley and that GODDAMN annoying song in ROTJ), it'd be perfect. I bet the new Indiana Jones will be so full of fake CGI explosions and dangers that you won't even care.

James Bond was getting tiresome...Die Another Day, Brosnan's last one, was so filled with CGI, it was boring. Casino Royale was a return to simply good fighting, chasing, and of course some well done pyro mixed in.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
