Maybe he is pissed that the best Fzero game was made by a Sega studio..

I think you might be right that he's pissed, but not for the reason you mentioned.

Did you ever see this article: http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20037961,00.html

This is from an interview with Miyamoto:

You've had great success in your ability to predict what players will find fun to play. Have there been games that you thought would be fun but didn't turn out that way?
Yes, that has definitely happened. In the past we've worked with some outside development houses on titles like F-Zero and Starfox — and let me just say that we were disappointed with the results. Consumers got very excited about the idea of those games, but the games themselves did not deliver...

Who knows if he means disappointing sales or disappointing game, but clearly Miyamoto was unhappy with the end result.

Lol. Look at that...In that case I think he's going senile.Fzero gx was the best reviewed, funniest and most likely best selling Fzero ever made... Don't make me pull out the reviews Shigeru...

Best selling? Not according to VGchartz.

1 F-Zero SNES 1990 Racing Nintendo 1.37 0.51 0.89 0.07 2.85
2 F-Zero X N64 1998 Racing Nintendo 0.45 0.33 0.29 0.03 1.10
3 F-Zero: Maximum Velocity GBA 2001 Racing Nintendo 0.39 0.16 0.37 0.12 1.04
4 F-Zero GX GC 2003 Racing Nintendo 0.41 0.11 0.12 0.02 0.65

It's obvious, the man is referring to sales. Which decreased by more or less 50% with each new (console) game after the SNES one. If i saw these numbers, i wouldn't think of making a new F-zero game. At all.
