Well being a core gamers doesn't tells me to glorify core gaming. I like having fun above all. I don't care what console brings me this fun all I know is that it's doing it well. So what if there are casuals? Move isn't the pinnacle of all things and so isn't Kinect. Both excell at doing one thing but to a lot of people Kinect does a better job at what it does that nothing else can. Move, not so much. In order to do what Kinect does, you's need to attach glowing balls to your hands, hips, head, knees, shoulders and feet. It would be more accurate than Kinect that's a given. But nobody would play like that and it would fail horribly.
Also having fun in multiple ways is better in my book. If I only had one gameplay mechanic I would be bored fast that's why I take what interrests me and leave what doesn't. No need to diss what doesn't interrests me and try to find exotic reasons as to why I think it failed in my eyes even if it didn't...

Yeah, you definitely didnt read the R&D interview. Would you like me to give it to you so this can just end? I know why I dont like either, but at least you can see why Sony R&D didnt find the primary concept by Primesense to be an option. Everyone at my dorms had Dance Central fever for like five months and after that it just died down in early 2012, but by like february this year it was dead. Most of the casuals who bought the Xbox for it don't even use their Xbox anymore. Dance Central is a system seller just like Rock band and Guitar Hero were was and and Harmonix made both Rockband and Dance Central.

Microsofts marketing truly won and if you remember 2010 well in America they were on every TV show that have an influence on people, had the most parties (and still do) every, had all the highest rated channels flush with all of their commercials, and shut down Time Square. If you can tell me the last time Sony did any of that, lol....Kudos for you for taking a long time to dig up nothing.

Ahh man... think what you will... I see that it makes you comfortable to act like you do. Each his own. Maybe you should read more unbiased interviews and learn more about cameras, sensors, 3D and all that jazz. I don't know what interview you talk about, the one I read is the one you posted earlier... biased as hell and the guy even lacks knowledge about Kinect and how it works but tries to act like he does. He even disrespect people at MS and their decisions... I'm sorry but if this is what you're reading as a reference then no wonder you don't know much outside Sony.

LOL You obviously paid zero attention to it yet again. The R&D Department had their hands on Primesense tech around the time they launched the original Eyetoy. Of course video tech was being created before hand. Sony's 3D TV is awesome as well, including their TV that has the ability to play two players on one screen without split screen, but does anyone care? No. Casuals dont want to buy a TV meant for a niche market. Thats something only a minority of true gamers would be into. If Sony wants to sell they have to get the core mentality out of their mind for ten seconds.
