If percentage points among a handful of reviewers is a criteria that's important to you, then congratulations. Personally, I don't need that kind of validation. There are games in the 80s that I like above games in the 90s and that's just fine with me. For me, reviews are just guides to give me a general idea about a game, with the actual score being even less important than that.
Mario games are a good example, actually. Mario Galaxy might have the highest score ever but I still won't go out of my way to play it. I just didn't care greatly for any of the Mario games I've owned in the past and would take Zelda over all of them any day of the millennium. A few points difference in subjective scores assigned by reviewers I don't know really isn't all that meaningful to me.
