ding ding, we have a winner folks!

But I still think the reason for it is something we can argue a bit.

Is it because the market was poorly supported, and thus the twins "stole" sales off the Wii, or was the PS360 version simply going to be the better choice regardless, bottom line, and hence people chose what was better?

We need more data maybe to slice it.

It could be marketing. To one again quote GameInformer's review of The Forgotten Sands...

"If there’s one thing Ubisoft has done wrong here, it missed the chance to hype this Wii game independent of the entry on other consoles."

However, that's based on the assumption that developers are going to make a quality Wii multiplat that is built from the ground up in some form, then spend money to say "it's not the same, but it's really good!" Therefore, it may be a matter of whether it made enough sense to pour more resources into a Wii version, along with the challenge of making a fairly similar game on very different platforms (particularly in the control department).

I think that developing a good game for the Wii was a bit more complicated than developers and publishers had bargained for. And that is what caused all the crappy (not just downgraded like CoD) ports. Or failed rebuilt experiences by untalented development teams (Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, anyone?). In the end, the best third-party games on Wii were made by good teams who know how to properly use the hardware, not outside developers stuck with porting duty and vastly outdated game engines.
