Well, according to a few articles, the sequels are going to be SW VII, VIII and IX, and those continue the stories of Luke, Leia and Han. From the Fox news article that wfz posted: Disney CEO Bob Iger said Lucasfilm had already developed an extensive story line on the next trilogy, and Episode 7 was now in early-stage development. He said he talked with Lucas about buying the company from him a year and a half ago, but they didn't decide on a deal until very recently as Lucas set in motion his retirement." I'm not sure about the first paragraph, since I listened to both the Iger and Lucas videos, but I can't remember either of them mentioning Luke, Leia or Han, so the article may be speculating. However it's been known for the longest time that episodes 7 8 and 9 revolve around the three. This article mentions that the movies won't be based off the Thrawn trilogy, but will be an original story. http://ca.eonline.com/news/358685/star-wars-7-plot-will-be-an-original-story-says-lucasfilm-source As for Indy, anything better than Indy IV will make me happy. As long as Spielberg is involved, I don't care who takes up the role. River Pheonix did a good job as young indiana jones, there must still be some good talent out there. :) Just not shia, I'm sick of that guy. |
I don't personally care myself, but this is going to piss a lot of Star Wars fans off because Lucas himself has said that the Thrawn Trilogy was cannon.
The problem with Indy IMO is that they let it go on to the point with Harrison Ford where no one will accept another actor in the role. They should have kept the series going with different actors like they did Bond. Shia is awful and shouldn't return.
