Ok this has run its course but Ill just rebuttle with this: 1st: The word Exclusive sweeps 360 multiplats not on PS3 under the rug. 360 has more 70-79, 80-89, 90+ metacritic games. Superior Library wins out over just exclusives anyday. 2nd: Pure speculation on your part. Not if MS keeps pushing Kinect, which they are and have every intention to do so next gen. Itll only keep gaining momentum as a media hub controller. 3rd: I play multiplats, XBLA games, and the big exclusives. Why do people like you assume that were just playing Halo 4? I said Halo 4 is the biggest 360 game....that doesnt imply thats all 360 has. 360 actually has more 70-79, 80-89, 90+ games not on ps3 this year.....AND Halo 4. Fact is itll smash everything PS3 brought to the table this year AND 360 has more games on top of that. Win win. 4th: You always seem to be downplaying XBLA because it isnt a full sized retail game. Quality is quality regardless of the file size. XBLA gives 360 the quantity and quality and a variety of genres....but oh ya, PS3 gamers dont consider them games....right? Because to acknowledge XBLA is to acknowledge that 360 has better games and we cant have that now can we..... 5th: Sony will never have the creativity and talent, and marketing to pull that off. They had their shot with Resistance, Killzone, and indirectly with Dust514. None came close and it aint gonna happen. |
1. You're boasting about the quality of the exclusives and now you want to make this a quanitity argument, sure but those games are mostly multiplats including PC. When you put the 360 and PS3 head to head in exclusives the PS3 wins in above 80 exclusives.
2. Is it pure speculation on my part that most things that are gained from the casuals are generally thrown away for the next novelty? It's pretty much known. The Wii sold the most consoles and yet was the least used. If Microsoft plans on making casuals stick with the Xbox 360 by making it the house cable box then so be it, but the majority of people who fork out $60 for Xbox Live for the all around family purpose will be Xbox gamers whether moderate or hardcore.
3. Here is where I am correcting you. You boast about one game, and yes the 360's top exclusives come in small quantities within each year and it dwindles (as you've noticed). The PS3 has lists of games every year on the core end and in many other genres. Theres more ways to have fun on the PS3 being that I own both all Microsoft has offered me is Halo and the Witcher 2 . XBLA was ok and I played Deadlight, not that great but then again those things dont matter to me. I got Unfinished Swan and Journey on PSN but again, small games that only affect me so much.
4. Microsoft and Sony both do it, but I still dont care. Its fun to play but I move on to the bigger games where the fuller more robust retail action is happening. Quality is quality and that was never my argument, but its irrelevant. Microsoft is covering up for low development. Sony is doing the same as Microsoft with PSN so whats the point in boasting about XBLA?
5. Only a truly and foolishly blind person says never. Halo was indirect in its development as it wasnt even being made for Microsoft, until Microsoft purchased bungie so I dont see what the problem is. Smart job for Microsoft buying them and dumb on Steve Jobs part for not buying bungie so Halo could've ushered in a fleet for Apple. Regardless, a Dust 415 looks great. Just get over yourself and understand whether you like Sony or not that the only genre they need to get on par with the competition with is an FPS. I personally love Killzone, but it isnt for everyone. Have I ever stated that Microsoft will never have the talent to make a great game in any genre ?(like you?) no, because I am not foolish enough to make a blind statement like that and no one can predict the future. I stated that based on Microsofts track record they are not invested in everything. Your statements prove one thing and that you're loyal to Microsoft and biased to Sony.
