Of all the consoles this gen, the Xbox 360 appeals to me the least. So in my eyes it's the least successful. So regardless of the fact that both Nintendo and Sony are not as financially stable as Microsoft, they were able to continually do what it has done with the Wii and PS3 by continually catering to their fans and market base with games. So really, all consoles have been successful. It just depends what you want out of it as a consumer.
