If you can rest your fingers in the Vitas depressions you must have baby hands. The Vita is really comfortbale when the rear touch is turned off and you can grip the whole thing, but when the rear touch is on and you have to avoid all the space it is a crampfest.

im sorry, but what games have you played on Vita where this is an issue??  I havent played a game yet where you are required to use the rear touch and the front buttons or screen at the same time

Escape Plan, some user created LBP levels, emulated PS1 games where L2/R2 are on the rear touch. I heard FIFA is also very stressful on your hands. I just don't like the rear touch pad at all and every game that has it disabled is a better game in my book. When the rear touch pad is active you have to "bend" at least your middlefinger downwards and this combined with the low position of the analog stick just feels forced to me. When the rear touch is deactivated and I don't have to be concerned about false inputs I can "fan out" my fingers on the backside and it just feels more relaxed to me that way. I hope that makes some sense.

Far enough, I completly forgot about the PS1 games as I still play those on my PSP and have yet to play Escape Plan or LBP. I can see how that would be annoying.
