I played with five different laptops with win8 yesterday and yeah... no like. They were all ultrabooks and they all had the same issue while messing with the metro interface. It sucked.
However, the touch screen options or the desktops with a mouse... all worked flawlessly. So I think it just came down to the trackpads and something to do with responsiveness or lack there of.
Overall I'm interested in win8 and will get a full version disc sent to me soon for $99 and throw that on my two PCs.
But for tablet... I will like stick with Android and pick up a Nexus7 or 10. I will also likely pick up a the new Chromebook for $250 as I think that better fits my needs and usage... except maybe the wife. As a teacher she needs a specific setup to work with her schools network/security and grading system. So with that, I may get the surface pro or a laptop in the same price range. Not sure yet. BlackFriday will be my decision maker on that.
