This is one failing attempt to criticize a new product.

Any console is expensive at launch. An extra tablet controller is not required and the console is launching at $249/299. Even then so you talk as if Nintendo isn't worthy of your expenditure, but a Microsoft console is. If your total expenditure is more than you'd like, then move on. Consumer choice simple as that.

To form an analogy:
Windows RT can't run x86 legacy software. It's no better in capabilities and lacks in application count compared to Android and iOS. Therefore, RT is no better than Android or iOS.

A slightly larger screen with a lower resolution than what's offered by the competition at $499. (The new iPad's retina display, and Asus' Infinity Pad and Acer's Iconia Tab that have displays of 1920x1200) The Infinity Pad offers a slightly beefier Tegra 3 SoC. Ultimately one would be better off buying a Nexus 7, Kindle Fire HD, or Asus TF300. (The most expensive being $349, cheapest $199)

The Surface and other RT tablets with 32gb of storage start at $499! If you go by the picture M$ is currently loving to advertise, it will cost you $599. DISGUSTING

See what I did there?
