True, I do think Android is the bees knees and opposite for him.
But, http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=149132 and Google has just this last year finalized a true tablet experience that builds off of the phone experience with Android 4+ (starting with Ice Cream Sandwich). Now that that is complete, they have begun to push more SDKs and help for devs to get their apps enhanced with specialised code for tablets.
I don't think Surface will be there quicker than Android.
