| superchunk said: no. The lack of 3rd parties ever supporting Wii with AAA content combined with Nintendo's own slowdown is what contributed to Wii's stead, but fully normal, decline. Kinect and Move didn't do anything to Wii. Move didn't do anything for or against PS3. At least Kinect can be included in part of 360s last couple years success. |
Move and kinect extended the ps3's and 360's life.. whether you want to admit it or not.. that and the fact Wii looked like a last gen console graphicly next to the ps3/360.. so people could look at ps3/360 as nexgen consoles in comparison.. especially since move was way more advanced than anything nintendo offered with wii's motion controller.. and kinect was made to look like a better motion control option than the wii..
The wii DID NOT have a fully normal decline.. there hasn't been a console that dominated to signifcantly it's first couple of years, and then just have a SEVERE collapse after that.. Wii didn't have much of any AAA CONTENT from 3rd parties to start with anyway.. it's more likely due to the fact the wii was a significantly inferior machine next to the ps3/360 in every single way.. especially in it's online infastrature..
