I agree that the Nexus 7 does have a better screen resolution and has 1Gb RAM compared to 512MB on the iPad mini...but in fact the A5 with built in custom GPU is more powerful than the Tegra 3.  The OS is down the individual, but the concensus is that iOS is better than Android....the only mobile OS that comes close and is getting really good is WP.  I hate all the clone OS provided by Android.  Don't get me wrong, the Nexus 7 is a decent machine at a great price...but with regards to sales, there will be no contest.  What you may be forgetting is, who really wants to do Multitasking using a tablet?  The general tablet audience don't want to do that.  Yeah it would be nice, but what are you gonna do on a tablet that requires great multitasking?

Actually quick question?  Do you own a Nexus 7 by any chance?  Or some other tablet?

What exactly makes iOS better than the latest Android OS? You say multitasking doesn't matter, but what DOES matter so much that makes iOS better?

It is a beautiful app launcher of an operating system. It offers nothing more than android at the moment. It is easier for older crowd to use. I think that is about it.

I have years of iOS experience behind me and got an Android device a month or so ago (Nexus 7) and Android just feels like it's the better OS. You can do more with it, but it's all there right from the start if you don't want to do more. I checked the Play Store and there were more than enough apps to choose from. Most of the stuff on both stores is fluff, anyway. The most important apps are all there.

Best of all, you don't need iTunes to use it with a PC.

Same here Pezus. Got rid of my Iphone 3g for Samsung Galaxy S2. I am liking the easy method of loading files onto the devices. Obviously it is big jump for me coming from an older device but even comparing it 4S. I do agree that play store is very much comparable to app store. Downloaded pretty much all the apps i had on ios to my new android phone. It just seems like a more competent device.
