Borderlands 2 - This is my most recent obsession, but only bother if you have someone to play with. It's alright single player and better than the first, but it's still best played with people. Just be warned, it has weird difficulty curves and some characters are massively better than others.
Dishonored - Supposed to be amazing, I've been too busy with Borderlands 2 to give it a go.
Batman: Arkham Asylum/City - Both great games, even if you don't like Batman (which is silly because everyone likes Batman)
SSX - I love love love love love love love love this game, but then again, SSX Tricky was one of my favorite PS2 games. Don't immediately dismiss this game because it's snowboarding or sports, it's over-the-top awesome.
Space Marine - I don't think I saw this one mentioned and it's a lot of fun.
Dead Island - Great fun, especially if you have a friend though also fun if you're by yourself. It kind of drags in the last half, but I still really enjoyed it.
El Shaddai - I didn't really enjoy the game but I enjoyed the art style at least. If you can get it cheap, it's worth it just to see the insane visuals.
Vanquish - Really good action fun
Deadly Premonition - So this game is really stupid but also kind of hilarious in a bad B movie sort of way. It has a director's cut coming out sometime soon.
Saint's Row 3 - This is what the GTA series should be. Saint's Row knows you don't care about some serious story getting in the way of sandbox fun and knows that you totally want to spread raw sewage on neighborhoods and run around with a giant dildo-bat.
Ghostbusters: the Video Game - Shameless plug, but if you like Ghostbusters you like this game.
