This is not a knock against the Bears....but Detroit had like 6 turnovers? Bears didnt even really get to play football....they kinda just ran the clock out and watched while the Lions made constant mistakes over and over again. Pathetic effort from them. |
Yeah fumbles the Bears defense punched or ripped out. Its not like Safford threw an interception while just singing and dancing. He was running and falling with Peppers on his ass. The fumbles were all a direct result of a Bear hitting the ball out. The only turnover that was purely the fault of a Lion was the punt fumble where the receiver simply dropped it, but that only resulted in 3 of Chicago's points.
Lions did make mistakes, but you can't deny the frustration caused by Bears defense. Plus, Lions defense played well and only allowed on TD and a long field goal. The other field goal was the result of previously mentioned drop on punt return. Its just the Bears defense is so badass the Lions almost got shutout.
