Hmm, I guess the Cardinals are not invincible as I thought. Still, they have several good young players and I fear they could be a force for awhile. Perhaps in 3 or 4 years, my Cubs can compete with them for the NLC central crown on a regular basis :/

Seems we have great pitching (Giants) vs great hitting (Tigers) in the WS. I'd usually go with pitching in this case but the Tigers hitting is just scary good. Plus they've got a bonafide ace in Verlander. I'm going with the Tigers in 6.

They are not that different in the runs scored department.

Regular Season (Runs Scored)
Tigers - 726
Giants - 718

I would say the Giants have the better balanced offense, since the Tigers are sort of a two-man show in Cabrera-Fielder.

Tigers pitching has been better in the post season.  Particularly the starters.  Regular season the Giants were better.

Regular Season (Runs Allowed)
Tigers - 670
Giants - 649

I think the Tigers will win.  They have their starters set up in order, rested, and they have been great in the playoffs.  The Giants could see Verlander 3 times if necessary.
